Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra

The Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra is aimed at advanced instrumental students between the ages of 18 and 24 with an interest in historically informed performance. (Exceptional players outside of the age range may be considered.)

The Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra is a partnership between the Irish Baroque Orchestra and the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras.

We are delighted to announce the details of the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra for 2024.

• IYBO Performance Course | 15 – 20 July 2024 | This course will be a performance course held in Dublin with concerts in Waterford and Dublin.

Tickets are now on sale for the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra concert at Waterford City Hall on Friday, 19 July in association with Waterford Symphony Club. Tickets are available via garterlane.ie.

There will also be an online course “Introduction to Historically Informed Performance” from 6 –7 July 2024.

Applications are now closed for IYBO 2024 but applications are still open for the “Introduction to Historically Informed Performance Course”.
